AAUSAT3 - ADCS2

Objective

ADCS2 is the advandce attitude determination system onboard AAUSAT3. Thus the objective is to give a good and precise attitude of AAUSAT3. The attitude qulity of the attitude determination will give a good direction for the possiblities for improving the ADCS of the next cubesat.

Hardware

The attitude determination is done using multiple sensors

• AT91SAM7A1 cpu
• Six sunsors placed on each side of the satellite.
• Three axes gyro scope.
• Three axes magnetometer.
• All the sensors are connected to an ARM7 microcontroller.

All these measures are then combined to give a much better estimated of the satellite attitude than the attitude determined by ADCS1.
