Radio Amateurs

As AAUSAT-II is using a 70cm band (UHF) amateur radio for ground communication it will as part of its mission provide services for the HAM community.

It should be noted that the satellite intially does not implement any publicly available functions, because in orbit checkout of subsytems and performace benchmarks needs to be finished first. Following that phase new software can be uploaded to the satelitte which includes services for radio-amateurs. Basically the satelitte must be up and running before letting anybody else "fool around" with it. If you have ideas for uses of the satelitte following the initial phase then let us know. It is of cause possible for radio amateurs all over the world to receive telemtry from the satellite.

Further information about protocols etc. will be posted as they are available.
