Pass-read

How to read the pass table

First column date :-)

There are three lines:

  • Line 1 gives direction and time when AAUSAT-II is just becoming visible and the horizon
  • Line 2 give max elevation (when it is highest on the sky)
  • Line 3 gives direction and time when AAUSAT-II is just going down the horizon

So - an example ...

  1. April 28. 06:57 UTC(08:57 danish time) will AAUSAT-II coming up over the horizon in direction 37.6 deg (approx north-east). It will be 2999 km away.
  2. April 28. 07:01 UTC(09:01 danish time) will it be at the highest - only 3.9 above horizon direction 72.9 degr (eastern direction). It will be 2551 km away
  3. April 28. 07:04(09:04 danish time) it will fade out in the horizon direction 108.1 degr (approx east) and it will be 2987 km away.

So this is a low quality pass - short time and far away.
