Welcome to AAU Satlab

Who are we?

We are a student organisation formed in 2001, focused on designing, building and deploying our own CubeSats. Since 2001, students at AAU has successfully delivered 5 CubeSats to low earth orbit, and we're currently working on the 6th satellite: AAUSAT6

Why should I join?

At AAU Satlab you will have opportunities for learning how to create reliable systems for space applications, getting insight and connections to the booming satellite industry of Northern Jutland, have a direct impact on the satellite, and have your contributions sent to space, to see them working in a real life application.

AAU Satlab is 100% student driven, so if you're interested in the administrative side of designing a CubeSat, and running a student organisation, there are plenty of opportunities.

When do we meet?

We meet every Wednesday at 16:15 in the Satlab Mission Control Center (C4-109), where we share progress and discuss current topics. Aside from Wednesday meetings, every first weekend we arrange a “work weekend”, where we get stuff done and have dinner together.

How can I learn more?

You can participate in the Intro Evening, September 25th, in room TBD. Here we will introduce who we are, our mission, and give an introduction to the basics of CubeSat design. Feel free to browse our website satlab.aau.dk, our GitHub or join our Discord Server where you can contact us.

I want to Join!

You are always welcome to join our Wednesday meetings at 16:15 in C4-109 where we will introduce you to the organisation and help you with how you can contribute to our mission. Also join the Discord Server to follow discussion and stay up to date with meetings and announcements.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact us in the Discord Server or write an email to Jonas at jojako21@student.aau.dk
